About Me
Michael K. Halper, Esq.
Halper Law grew out of a desire to help individual people solve real problems.

I grew up in New Jersey before attending Vanderbilt University (Go Dores). There, I studied Economics and Classics before proceeding to Stanford Law School, where I benefitted from brilliant professors and classmates and was elected to the managing board of the Stanford Law Review.

After graduating, I started my career at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, one of the oldest "white shoe" law firms in New York. There, I counseled some of the world's largest Private Equity firms and learned how to negotiate with both credibility and strength.
I left Simpson to clerk on the federal district court in my home state before moving on to another clerkship at the federal appellate level.

After working at the right hand of three distinguished federal judges, I returned to New York to the storied litigation boutique Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler. My practice focused on plaintiff-side commercial actions, defending major corporations against products-liability claims in both federal and state court, and individual white collar representations.
I was also proud to be part of a team that fought against an unconstitutional congressional gerrymander, culminating in a two-week trial in the Northern District of Florida. (Let me know if you ever need a restaurant recommendation in Tallahassee.)

My time at major law firms taught me what it takes to win cases. Now, I turn that experience to your benefit.
